The force is strong with Virgin Atlantic!
Exciting news, Virgin Atlantic have just unveiled a brand new Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge decorated Boeing 747 aircraft. The Boeing 747 will have the iconic Millennium Falcon image on both sides of the aircraft. Unfortunately, Han Solo will not be taking this ship on any kessel runs though!
The new Virgin Atlantic Falcon will operate between London Gatwick (LGW) and Orlando, Florida, (MCO). Virgin Atlantic passengers travelling to Orlando will be able to experience the thrilling new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land at Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, as well as many other theme parks.
Dave Napper, senior engineer at Virgin Atlantic said: “It was a very exciting brief to be able to redesign our aircraft livery to represent something as iconic as the Millennium Falcon and it’s not something that you get to do every day. We have many Star Wars fans within the company who jumped at the chance to get involved in some way, and we cannot wait to see ‘The Falcon’ take flight.”
First class luxury greets the Virgin Atlantic Upper Class passengers on arrival at the airport with the Virgin Clubhouse, while onboard your spacious seat makes for a comfortable journey and reclines fully flat once in bed mode. The award-winning in-flight dining experience, in seat power supply, a superb choice of entertainment, and direct aisle access from all seats enhances the experience further. There’s even a swish on-board bar area where you can enjoy delicious drink!
