Flying in Business Class is not just about being comfortable. While it is important that you are relaxed, at ease and have everything you need to make a long-haul flight enjoyable, Business Class flights also offer some unique dining experiences not to be missed. Many airlines work with celebrated chefs from around the world, producing tantalising menus and fine-dining experiences at 30,000 feet in the air. Below we take a look at our top five airlines Business Class cuisine.
Dining in Business Class with Emirates is an experience in itself, giving you the opportunity to explore the world through your taste buds. Emirates Business Class dining has something for everyone; from light, healthy options to delicious meals rich in flavour. Meals are beautifully presented on Royal Doulton fine bone china, bringing a touch of luxury to your in-flight dining experience. Each meal is made from locally sourced, sustainable ingredients.
Right from your arrival, you can expect to sip on complimentary champagne, a cocktail, spirits or vintage wines. The Emirates Business Class menu consists of gourmet dishes that are creatively inspired by the local flavours of your destination, providing you with a taste of the country before you have even landed. Each course is a regionally inspired dish, from delicate starters to lavish desserts.
Of course, no meal is complete without a suitable beverage. All Emirates Business Class flights have a carefully selected choice of wines and beverages to compliment all dishes, from fine wines to luxury spirits.
Something to try: The new Emirates Japanese dining experience, available on flights to Osaka or Tokyo, is sure to get your taste buds tingling. Top Emirates chefs have collaborated with local experts to bring the authentic flavours of Japan right to your table.

Cathay Pacific is currently in the process of introducing a brand new dining concept to all long-haul business flights, guaranteed to take the in-flight dining experience to a brand new level. You can expect newspaper-style menus offering impressive dishes and articles on food trends. Passengers are invited to try three appetisers with their lunch or dinner meals, with dishes marked ‘Most Loved’ being available as a snack at any point throughout the flight. For those who want some extra sleep, express meals are served just one hour before arrival, rather than the standard two hours.
As far as quality is concerned, Cathay Pacific is not one to disappoint. All ingredients are, of course, sustainable and sourced locally in season. Light and healthy meals are available for those who do not want to over-indulge.

A selection of fine cheeses, desserts and beverages follow.
During a Business Class flight with Singapore Airlines, you really can expect nothing but the best. Every culinary detail is carefully considered – right down to how dishes will taste at 30,000 feet under cabin pressure. It is no secret that rich flavours taste mild under cabin pressure, which is why Singapore Airlines test of all their carefully created dishes in a simulated pressurised cabin. If that’s not dedication to a tasty in-flight meal, we don’t know what is.
‘Book the Cook’ is a feature offered on Suites, First Class and Business Class Singapore Airlines flights, providing you with the ultimate dining experience in the air. ‘Book the Cook’ allows passengers to choose from an extensive range of carefully designed meals 24 hours before the flight, including dishes inspired by the airlines’ International Culinary Panel, featuring the likes of Carlo Cracco, Georges Blanc and Suzanne Goin. This meal is then served as your main course during your flight.
