The New Emirates Premium Economy Cabin

Finally jumping on the Premium Economy bandwagon, Emirates will be offering its passengers the ability to enhance their journey if usually travelling in Economy, or offering a value alternative to Business Class, beginning on their famous Airbus A380.

Set in a 2-4-2 configuration, the cabin has a light, sophisticated feel with clean white interiors and elegant bronze and polished woodgrain accents adding to the luxurious appeal.

Sink into the cream leather Premium Economy seats and relish in the additional legroom with up to 40 inches of seat pitch, which is up to 8 inches more than the standard Economy. Lean back and stretch out with 8 inches of recline, and improved seat width up to 19.5 inches.

To ensure a comfortable and premium flight experience, the extendable, cushioned leg rest and adjustable headrest mean you can truly relax. All while you enjoy the entertainment on the 13.3 inch inflight entertainment system’s screen and having plenty of armrest room with a polished wood side table to place your drink on.

Emirates Premium Economy Experience

Situated at the front of the plane, the Premium Economy cabin enjoys earlier boarding and disembarking making the journey more efficient, while the little touches of ample storage, in-seat power, and onboard Wi-Fi are always appreciated. Complimenting the new Premium Economy seats, passengers enjoy dining from the Economy menu elevated with stainless-steel cutlery on spacious woodgrain tables.

Emirates Premium Economy Roll Out

By the end of 2021, Emirates envisages the new Premium Economy product to be available on their A380s operating from London Heathrow as well as Frankfurt, New York JFK, and Paris. At the end of 2022, an 18 month retrofit programme begins, changing over a further 52 A380s as well as 53 Boeing 777s in which an updated Business Class will also be available in a 1-2-1 configuration.
