2017 has been a big year so far for new hotels opening around the world, and it’s not over yet! From major business hubs, to remote holiday locations, and everything in between, it’s been a fantastic year to travel to our favourite locations that have grown, and to discover new favourites along the way.

Located at the north end of the Napa Valley in the small town of St Helena, the adults only Los Alcobas encompasses all that is great about the wine region. With stunning views over vineyards from private outdoor terraces, the hotel is also noted for it’s exceptional spa facilities and award-winning restaurant.
In the heart of the San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, the Pendry Hotel is a stylish blend of classic Southern Californian influences and modern luxuries. With spa facilities, a fitness centre, and a rooftop pool, this hotel is a great addition to the San Diego city centre.
Towering above the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, The Silo has become the city’s most boutique hotel. With only 28 rooms located in the old grain silo above the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, the hotel offers spectacular views of the water, city, and Table Mountain from its rooms, restaurant, and rooftop pool.
Need to be close to the city centre of Sao Paulo but want a retreat from the hustle and bustle? The Palacio Tangara was built in the heart of the beautiful Burle Marx Park and every room and suite offers fantastic views over the landscape.
The Kerry Hotel has the enviable location on the waterfront of Kowloon in Hong Kong. Operated by Shangri-La, the hotel is classed as a city centre resort and comes with exceptional facilities and service, including a grand ballroom with room for 1,000 guests under a ceiling dripping with 20,000 rock crystals!
With every room having unobstructed views over Los Angeles, the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is the first for the chain in Los Angeles and on the west coast of the USA. Originally built in the 1930’s, and located within the cultural preservation zone of Shanghai’s Xuhui District, Capella Shanghai will be the only all-villa Shanghai resort in the last remaining cluster of historical “shikumen” (stone warehouse gate) estate.
In the heart of Times Square, The Moxy Times Square is New York City’s latest hotel and encapsulates the energy and vibrancy of this fascinating city.
