Earlier this month, the independent website Skytrax announced the winners of their 2017 World Airport Awards and for the 5th consecutive year Singapore’s Changi Airport has topped the list!

Starting in 1999, the awards are the largest, annual global airport survey in the world rated by the customers making it a true indication of the levels of service, comfort, and convenience that is offered to its passengers. With over 13 million voters participating in the survey, it has widely been referred to as the Passenger Choice Awards.

This latest accolade comes as no surprise to those of us that have used the facilities at Changi Airport in the past, whether needing a fast connection, arriving or departing, or having an extended layover. With their flagship airline, Singapore Airlines (voted 3rd Best Airline in the world in 2016), utilising Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 where a movie theatre and sunlit indoor gardens keep travellers entertained and refreshed on their journeys, the ease of connecting between flights and terminals on the Skytrain make the airport also have one of the lowest connection times in the world. The airport also offers playgrounds and activities for children throughout all terminals… all you need to do is enquire with one of the friendly staff.

The latest feather in Changi’s cap comes on the back of a spectacular year for both the airport and Singapore Airlines in 2016, being voted Best Airport, Best Business Class Seats, 4th Best First Class Seats, 5th Best Business Class Lounge, and 7th Best First Class Lounge.
