New Singapore Airlines A350 Business Class Set to Come to London

New Singapore Airlines A350 Business Class Set to Come to London Published on . Category:

Singapore Airlines is set to once again redefine premium air travel with a current investment of S$1.1 billion to retrofit and modernise its fleet of 34 Airbus A350-900 long-haul aircraft (and its 7 A350-900ULR aircraft predominantly used on US routes). This constitutes a major upgrade and introduces the highly anticipated Singapore Airlines’ new business class.

The new Singapore Airlines A350 business class cabins feature private suites with sliding doors, forward-facing lie-flat beds, and cutting-edge technology, including wireless charging, Bluetooth audio, and extra-large OLED entertainment screens. Designed with comfort, privacy, and modern luxury in mind, these suites mark a bold evolution from the current decade-old design while also fixing some of the issues that passengers had raised concerning the current seat model.

SIA’s new A350 First & Business Class sneak peek

Singapore Airlines’ new Business Class will offer a staggered seating layout to maximize personal space and flexibility, catering to both solo travellers and couples. This configuration is the same as planned for the airline’s future Boeing 777-9 aircraft, ensuring a consistent premium experience across its long-haul fleet.

The retrofit program, led by SIA Engineering Company, is scheduled for completion by 2030. Each Airbus A350-900 will be reconfigured with 42 Business Class, 24 Premium Economy, and 192 Economy Class seats, providing the same number of seats in business and premium while increasing the economy cabin marginally.

With the schedules now released for July 2026, it is now confirmed that London Heathrow’s four daily departures will include two A380s, one 777-300ER, and the addition of one A350 (replacing the second 777-300ER). With this inclusion coinciding with the launch of the new product, is it too much of a stretch to think that the UK will get to experience the new Singapore Airlines business class product?

Unfortunately, the seat maps have not yet been updated to the new configuration, so until we get confirmation from the airline, we’ll just have to wait and see.

The use of the new Singapore Airlines A350 Business Class on the London–Singapore route would mark a significant milestone in the carrier’s ongoing push for excellence, reinforcing its position as a global leader in premium aviation, and I, for one, am looking forward to seeing Singapore business class back at the top of its game.
