Do you find it hard to stay active when working away from home, particularly on a business trip where work takes over your routine and everyday lifestyle?
What if we told you that there were ways of staying fit and active wherever you travel to in the world? This is particularly appealing during a trip to Antigua and similar locations, of course, as this affords you access to a range of activities and opportunities to exercise your body…and your mind!
Golf is one of the most popular ways of unwinding for professionals, particularly on a business holiday that is stressful and exceptionally busy. Both energising and relaxing in equal measure, players can take a break from the rigours of their working schedule and enjoy their favourite pastime beneath the relentless, baking sun.
The Cedar Valley Golf Club is a great location where professionals can relax in Antigua, whether you have time to enjoy the 18-hole championship course or the 300-yard driving range.
For those of you who enjoy more active and energetic past-times, playing a few games of tennis at the Temo Sports Club is an excellent way to spend your free time. Located in English Harbour, it features two excellent, floodlit tennis courts (along with two, glass-backed international squash courts for those who prefer a slightly different racket game).
It is interesting to note that walking can often burn more calories than running, particularly if you are not accustomed to moving at pace and can only sprint in short bursts.
This means that hiking along the picturesque Monks Hill and Fort George Trail is an excellent way to stay in shape while overseas in Antigua, while also taking in some of the region’s most spectacular views (including the stunning Falmouth Harbour and Willoughby Bay). The trail is also constantly accessible and can be enjoyed at your leisure, whether you have time to take a long walk or your schedule demands short, concise hikes.
This type of convenience is key for business travellers, who are often bound to their office and the demands of their clients!
