After 9 years of construction, the brand new Terminal A at Abu Dhabi Airport is scheduled to open on the 9th of November 2023. Specifically designed to cater to Abu Dhabi’s national carrier, Etihad Airways, flight schedules will begin to change terminals between the 9th and 11am on the 14th of November, at which time all Etihad flights will have moved over.

Terminal A is located within the Abu Dhabi Airport complex, less than 20 minutes from the entertainment of Yas Island, and about 30 minutes from the city centre with its major attractions such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. With a 5-minute drive from Terminals 1 and 3, the Airport will also operate a shuttle bus for guests connecting between flights who may need to transfer between terminals making there no need to leave the airport.
