The world continues to open, and as it does, airlines are further enhancing their flight schedules, both in frequency and destinations. Virgin Atlantic is joining in on the action with a brand new destination for them… Tampa, Florida.
The announcement of Virgin Atlantic starting to fly the route 4 times a week from the 3rd of November 2022 will now allow those preferring to travel from London Heathrow to have the choice when previously, the only direct option was to fly from London Gatwick with BA, or to connect through another American city. Even better? From the 28th November 2022, Virgin will offer their Upper Class service on their Airbus A330-200 daily.
A versatile city, Tampa lies on the east coast of Florida, looking out over the Gulf of Mexico. This location provides the perfect place for visitors looking to head to the beaches of Clearwater & St. Petersberg, or to visit some of the world-class golf courses that the area is famous for. In addition, Tampa provides another gateway to the theme parks in the Orlando area as it is only approximately a 90 minute drive providing the perfect opportunity for a twin-centre holiday.
By providing these additional options, Virgin business class passengers can experience an encompassing Florida holiday as it increases the total daily flights to the state to 7, with 4 to Orlando and 2 to Miami.
Virgin Atlantic’s Wing at London Heathrow offers passengers flying in Upper Class an elevated experience, with fast-track through security from the dedicated Upper Class check-in, and access to the Virgin Clubhouse Lounge with complimentary spa treatments, meals, and beverages.
The fully refitted Airbus A330-200s used on this new route allow passengers to benefit from a staggered 1-2-1 configuration that provides exceptional space and comfort. With every seat forward facing and having direct aisle access, the full benefits of Upper Class are realised when reclining into a fully flat bed for a comfortable night’s sleep on the return overnight flight.
In addition to the fully flat seats, Virgin business class guests enjoy a superb choice of entertainment, a-la-carte dining, and luxury amenities while onboard the A330-200.
Tampa, Florida has never sounded like a better idea than now to visit!
