Air New Zealand’s brand new route between Auckland and Chicago has just been completed. The flight took off from Auckland International Airport on the 30th of November at 5pm and landed at 1pm local time at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
This exciting new venture will be Air New Zealand’s longest route, taking over from Auckland-Houston which has a flight time of 13.5 hours. The new journey will take 15 hours to Chicago and just over 16 hours back to Auckland.
Air New Zealand will operate its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on the new route. It will also be a great way for customers from the UK to travel to New Zealand, with a quick stop over in Chicago, a city famed for its stunning architecture, internationally-renowned jazz and blues scene, and famous dishes including the iconic deep dish pizza.
