Manchester City, one of the world’s richest football clubs and Etihad Airways, one of the most luxurious airlines in the sky, welcomed the arrival of its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

Etihad Airways have unveiled a specially painted Boeing 787 honouring the decade long partnership between Etihad Airways and Manchester City Football Club. The flight was greeted by Omar Berrada, Chief Operating Officer for Manchester City, City legend, Joleon Lescott, Karen Bardsley and the Club’s mascots for a welcome ceremony.

Robin Kamark, Chief Commercial Officer, Etihad Aviation Group, said: “As we celebrate a decade of this successful partnership, we are proud to see the Manchester City colours grace our runways and skies, as the new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner takes flight. This livery pays tribute to the Club’s incredible accomplishments on and off the pitch.”

The dazzling new specially designed Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will be scheduled to fly in and out of destinations including Manchester, Spain, Jordan, Indonesia and China.

Etihad Airways flies to Manchester Airport 14 times a week, providing guests with direct access to the UK’s favourite destinations. In addition to flights to and from London Heathrow, the airline conveniently connects the UK to Abu Dhabi and international destinations throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia.

The new Etihad Airways Business Studios offers a fully-flat bed of up to 80.5 inches in length, direct aisle access and an increase of 20 per cent in personal space. Upholstered in fine Poltrona Frau leather, the Business Studio is equipped with an in-seat massage and pneumatic cushion control system which enables guests to adjust the firmness and comfort of their seat.
