Wimbledon is in full swing and Emirates are bringing its summer menu to excite and delight with some scrumptious summer treats. Emirates serve 110 million meals every year to passengers and are always looking to stay fresh with some innovative ideas. This summer Emirates chefs have created a destination-inspired summer time zest menu using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Over the summer, Emirates will begin a range of summer inspired menu items on select routes. This special offering will incorporate flavors from the summer harvest. For the United Kingdom and Ireland, strawberries and cream paired in Eton Mess will be offered to passengers flying in business class and first class on certain routes.
This month, Emirates first and business Class customers travelling to the UK and Ireland can try some tasty treats featuring seasonal strawberries including the classic British summer dessert Eton Mess. Strawberry eclairs, a strawberry cream delice and a deconstructed mille-feuille with poached strawberries, white chocolate cream, pastry crisps and basil tuille will also be served. Emirates’ selection of desserts for its UK and Ireland routes in July alone will require more than 200 kilograms of fresh strawberries.
