British Airways customers travelling in business class or in first to Johannesburg will be excited to learn as part of the British Airways £6.5 billion investment, the BA airport lounge in Johannesburg is officially now open.

After an essential refurbishment project, the new Johannesburg lounge can now host up to 247 transit customers. Some of the airport lounge facilities include; a contemporary lobby bar, a delightful brasserie dining area and multiple work stations for business travellers who need to work on the go.

Guests of the British Airways Johannesburg lounge will enjoy a friendly welcome and a place to unwind and rejuvenate before taking their departure flight from Johannesburg to London Heathrow.

The atmospheric lobby bar is stocked with premium spirits, a selection of fine wines, beers and soft drinks. The new dining menu offers hot and cold options including Cape Malay curry, fresh seasonal salads, mezze, local charcuterie and Indezi River cheeses. First Boutique Dining offers a pre-flight a-la-carte menu meticulously curated by the in-house chef, complemented by an extensive wine list.

Every detail has been carefully designed and we’ve created a space to meet our customers’ needs – whether they want to relax with a hot meal, work in peace or enjoy a drink at the lobby bar, the lounge will get their travels off to the best start.”

There’s a staggering 40 per cent more storage, a vanity unit and mirror, WiFi, enviable 18.5-inch in-flight entertainment screens*, high definition gate-to-gate programming, and PC / USB power; every aspect of British Airways’ Club Suite has been designed for the modern traveller.

British Airways are staggering the launch of this fantastic new product as new aircraft are delivered and older planes are refitted. We would love to see this product on the Johannesburg route and will be waiting eagerly to see when it is confirmed.
