18th March 2019. There’s HUGE excitement today for British Airways and the airline industry as a whole – BA have finally unveiled its eagerly anticipated new business class seat the ‘Club Suite’.

And wow, it doesn’t disappoint! British Airways customers travelling from July in business class will begin to get to experience this gigantic game changer in aviation and business class travel. Let’s never forget it was BA who introduced the fully flat bed 18 years ago; so they have a lot to prove.

British Airways New ‘Club Suite’

British Airways exuberant newly-branded ‘Club Suite’ offers direct-aisle access, a suite door for greater privacy and luxurious flat-bed seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, and if the photos are anything to go by, don’t the first impressions look amazing?

There’s a staggering 40 per cent more storage, a vanity unit and mirror, WiFi, enviable 18.5-inch in-flight entertainment screens*, high definition gate-to-gate programming, and PC / USB power; every aspect of British Airways’ Club Suite has been designed for the modern traveller.

When and on Which Planes Will This Be Available?

The new British Airways Business Class will be available on BA’s first delivery of the Airbus A350 aircraft. These beautiful planes are due for delivery in July 2019 and will initially be used on European flights only; this is so the cabin crew are able to perfect the onboard service.

Then, in October 2019 those aircraft will commence their permanent long-haul routes and be joined by a further three A350’s and two retro-fitted 777’s. Alex Cruz, British Airways’ Chairman and CEO, said:

“The arrival of our first A350 featuring our new Club Suite is one of the most exciting developments in our £6.5 billion investment programme. Each new suite has direct aisle access and comes with a personal door – design features which were incorporated as a direct result of the feedback we’ve had from our customers. We’ve worked hard to ensure every aspect of the Club World experience from the lounges we’ve refreshed, to the new gourmet menus from Do&Co on flights from Heathrow, and the luxurious bedding we’ve introduced from The White Company exudes the very British style and quality customers expect from us”.

Phase three of the rollout will begin at the start of 2020 which will see British Airways rolling out its Club Suite on further long-haul aircraft across the network.
