Osaka is Japan’s second largest city and from the 31st of March it will become British Airways second direct city destination in Japan.
The new service will operate four times a week throughout the year and have a flight time of 11 hours and 30 minutes, making it one of the quickest ways of getting to Osaka from the UK. British Airways will fly into Kansai International Airport on the new direct service, conveniently only 20 miles from the centre of the city.
Osaka, known for its neon signs, ancient shrines, enticing cuisine and the spectacular Osaka castle, could be a perfect holiday choice for any traveller. On top of this, Japan will also be hosting the 2019 Rugby World Cup with some of the games taking place Osaka, making the new direct route very convenient for UK holiday makers looking to experience this event as well as people visiting family in Japan.
Osaka has a lot to offer visitors heading to the Land of the Rising Sun with other attractions including the exciting high-tech rides at Universal Studios or, for something different, take a look at some of the many bizarre animal cafes in the city centre.
When travelling British Airways on Club World to Osaka, you can receive the benefits of a spacious armchair that converts into a fully lie flat bed, stylish new bedding and amenity kits designed by The White Company, in-seat power for laptops or other electronics, and exclusive entertainment including a flat screen TV with hundreds of the latest films, documentaries, television, music, audiobooks and games available, as well as an on-demand service.
Another benefit is the option to take along two pieces of luggage weighing up to 32kg each on this new service. That’s plenty of room to pack for all eventualities, whether you’re on a city break in Osaka or a taking the bullet train on a tour of Japan.
