Perhaps long overdue, British Airways has taken the plunge and is commencing its £6.5bn investment to deliver significant upgraded changes across all cabins. Now we all agree that BA’s business and first class offerings are a little long in the tooth now, but let’s never forget that it was British Airways who introduced the lie flat bed to the world! This (hopefully) means we should be in for some major surprises from our home-grow brand.

As a little taster, BA are refreshing its on board products and services within the First Class cabin. The new look and feel will take flight from 7th April. This will include comfy new bedding, luxury amenities and high class menus.

British Airways Lounge Wear & Amenity Bag

First class customers will be offered comfortable, trendy male and female loungewear designed exclusively by luxury British fashion brand, Temperley London.  Another feature of the upgrades will be the bespoke British Airways amenity bags, featuring Temperley’s “Star” design. The amenity kits will be filled with products from No 1 British Skincare brand, ELEMIS, including products from the ULTRA SMART PRO-COLLAGEN range. The amenity kit contains the essentials to cleanse, revive and hydrate.

British Airways first class travellers will feel pampered and rejuvenated after each flight with these new products.

British Airways First Class Menu

British Airways chefs have also designed innovative and delicious A La Carte menus that focus on fresh seasonal ingredients of British provenance. The menus will be served on sophisticated bone china crockery, designed exclusively for British Airways by high-end British tableware designer William Edwards.

First class customers will also benefit from an improved turndown service for the perfect night’s sleep, thanks to new luxurious 400 thread count bedding, accompanied by a foam fibre mattress topper. Customers will even receive a stylish new day blanket and beautifully piped bolster cushion!
