Your first time in first class is always special. You are probably quite excited about the flight but also a bit nervous as you don’t know what to expect.
Most people generally stress about the dress code, how to behave but others will wonder if they’re really getting the best bang for their buck with the airline they have chosen, and which first class is the best. So, we’ve taken three of the world’s premium airlines and had a look at their first class suites so you can choose what suits you whilst you fly high in the sky.
What strikes you first when you board Singapore Airlines in first class is the sheer beauty of the cabin. Aesthetically pleasing in muted tones, these suites have been wholly designed for your comfort.
The beds are separate from your seat and if you’re travelling with a partner, adjacent suites can be converted into a double room. Your rooms are fully enclosed with a sliding door and window blinds for extra privacy. Their Book the Cook service lets you pre-book award-winning sky dining that can be enjoyed on sizeable tray tables that stow away when not in use.
Unveiled in November 2017, these extraordinary suites comprise up to 40 square feet of space, meaning even the most claustrophobic of travellers can revel in this space. Your 32” inch TV, personal mini bar and inspiration kit will mean you’re well looked after even before the expert cabin crew come around.
Slip into Hydra Active moisturising pyjamas for a good night sleep on a long haul flight. With sleek design features inspired by the Mercedes Benz S-Class, you will feel at home in pure luxury wherever you fly.
If you value your space over all else, then this is the first class option for you. Firstly, this doesn’t really qualify as a seat, as it’s an Apartment, with a leather lounge chair and extra long ottoman, which can change into a nearly 7-foot bed. Your signature welcome includes a hot towel, a personalised note, a bowl of dates and a beverage of your choice. Etihad has an onboard chef who can customize meals for you in the air – this privilege is worth flying first class with them alone.
Now there’s a new class beyond first class – an entire three room suite in the sky with your own private butler. You have your own private shower, a double bed with a 27” TV at the end of it, a mini-bar and numerous other little touches that make this a class above anything else on any other airline in the world.
So if you serious money lying around, this will truly be the most comfortable you’ll ever be in the air!
