Whether you’re travelling for an exotic holiday, or going on a business trip, you want to be able to arrive at your destination feeling pampered and refreshed. That’s why so many people are now choosing to upgrade, getting out of cramped economy class, and enjoying dedicated cabins with so much more space and facilities. With so many airlines now advertising their great perks such as:
The question remains, how do you know which one to choose? Here are some of the best airlines for business class, and what you can expect on board.
Known globally for offering good old-fashioned customer service, British Airways offer a stylish experience that they call Club Class, which is available on European and long-haul flights. There is a significant difference between the short haul (Club Europe) and long haul (Club World) products but if you’re looking for business class flights, then it’s often worth considering to BA’s Club Class.
While British Airways isn’t the most up-to-date business class experience, it’s comfortable and provides excellent levels of service.
For long-haul flights, it’s hard to beat Virgin Atlantic, who offer a number of perks when you upgrade. Instead of first and business, they have a single Upper Class, which covers the needs of the most discerning guests. From a chauffeur car service (subject to conditions) , to complimentary pre-flight champagne, lie flat beds, and great amenity kits, it’s an experience to remember.
Etihad don’t just offer lie flat beds, but what they call ‘business studios’ which offer excellent levels of comfort and privacy. Among all the usual extras you’d expect in business class, Etihad Airways offer comfortable, plush beds with proper pillows and blankets, rather than the usual bedding offered in the sky. Best of all, you can often get cheap business class flights on Etihad and enjoy extras such as fine wines and the on-board lounges, without having to pay big upgrade fees. Travelling for a special occasion? Book The Residence, the first three-room suite on an airline which has a shower room, lounge, and bedroom, and is suitable for two passengers.
Singapore Airlines is often awarded titles such as ‘the world’s best airline’ and is known for its excellent levels of service and comfort. For a start, the seats are some of the widest in the sky, allowing you to stretch out and really get comfy while enjoying a film. Singapore Airlines is excellent for long-haul, as the big seats turn into big beds, with plenty of storage, in-seat power, and lots of little touches for a comfortable night. In the morning, enjoy a freshly-cooked breakfast before you land. If you are looking for even more luxury, their suites are a thing to behold, with big leather armchairs that can be turned into a lounge or dining room, and separate beds closed off from the rest of the plane with sliding doors, so no noisy interruptions.
