With a history dating all the way back to the 1700s, it’s fair to say that Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival is one of the greatest festivals on the planet. An explosion of colour, music, dancing and other festivities, Carnival is one event that deserves to be on the itinerary of every party animal.

This year’s iteration runs from March 1st to the 9th and promises to be an extraordinary event.
